Scott has been an independent financial professional since 1982.
His extensive educational background includes a BEng, a BComm and an MBA. He is also a Registered Financial Planner (RFP), and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP).

Scott began his career as a founding partner of a Montreal firm. He launched TASMAN in 1995 to continue to provide the kind of personal and impartial counsel and support that he found wanting in the traditional financial services industry. He enjoys assisting a wide variety of clients and their distinct situations and priorities.

He has been involved over the years with many professional and community efforts, including a board member and/or executive role with the Institute of Advanced Financial Planners and its predecessor organizations, and community organizations like the Queensway Carleton Hospital, Personal Choice Independent Living, and fundraising efforts for the Children’s Aid Foundation of Ottawa and 100 Men Who Care Ottawa.

Sharleen understands the financial planning challenges of entrepreneurs and self-employed individuals firsthand. Before joining Tasman in 2010, she co-owned a family business enterprise. She couples this with more than 15 years of office administration experience, in both human resources and financial environments.

Sharleen’s dedication, entrepreneurial background and strong administrative skills are instrumental in assisting our clients and ensuring their needs are met.

Beth joined the Tasman team in 2015 with experience in accounting, client service and administration. Her motivation, commitment and interpersonal skills make her an important asset to our clients as well as our team.

Beth closely monitors our clients’ portfolios, providing full insight into their financial well-being. Thanks to Beth’s diligence, each of our clients is provided with a complete picture on an ongoing basis, which enables them to make better decisions.

Marilyn joined the Tasman team in 2016 with 20 years of office administration and accounting experience. Her strong work ethic and sharp eye for detail makes her a valuable asset to our team.

Marilyn focuses on special projects, administrative support, and maintains and updates office procedures.
